After a slow start to the year 2011, we have picked up our game and have had a great spring.

Brandy - Crystal Glens Driving Me To Drink - was Best Puppy in Sweepstakes at the Rio Grande Golden Retriever Club. She continued her winning ways by going Best of Opposite Sex in Mile Hi Golden Retriever Club show behind our own Gordon. She then went on the road to Montana with her friend Juliet, where she picked up to Major Reserves from the puppy class - this girl has an incredible future!

Dani -Grand Am/Can G.Ch. Crystal Glens Up Yours, OA, AXJ - took Best of Breed and a Sporting Group III, on the same N. Mex. Circuit getting her on step closer to the Show Dog Hall of Fame.

Louie - Am/Can G.Ch. Crystal Glens Hell Freezes Over RN - has had numerous Best of Breeds and Best of Opposite Sex, in Wisc., IA, N. Mex. He became our 2ns Grand Champion, doing it within just a few short months. He also picked up a Sporting Group IIi in Utah, putting him just 1/2 point away from the Show Dog Hall of Fame.

Ray - CH. Crystal Glens What The Hell RN -the biggest news of the year so far!Ray had two absolute HUGE wins, in Major competition. The first he was over 7 Specials, he went Best of Breed at the Flatirons K. C. Show in Colorado for a 4 pt. major! Amazing - he also made the cut top 6 in the Sporting Group that day. In just his third major competition, he was Best of Winners, this has made him an American Champion!! An amazing guy. And he is Louie's first son to finish his American Championship! Go Ray!!!!

Aria - Krishna Time of My Life at Crystal Glen RN, - another new face on the scene that is taking the conformation by storm. Shown only 4 times she already has 2 wins under her belt, going Winners Bitch in Laramie, Wy, and then again at the Buckhorn K.C. show in July.

Gordon- Krishna Crystal Glen Space Cowboy - the baby of the group - has already shown that he is spectacular! In his one and only showing he went Best Puppy in Sweepstakes at our local Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Specialty - he is quite the man!

Two other dog's connected to Crystal Glen have also starting showing their stuff in the conformation ring:

TJ - a Tof' son is half way towards his American Championship - with a recent win of Winners Dog at the Buckhorn K. C. show, owned by Kathy Bourland of Loveland CO

Pink - a Louie daughter has recently started to do some serious winning in Durango and Arizona - owned by Liz Borzan of Az.

Sparkle - another Louie daughter, owned by Sheryl Cammarata - picked up a major win in Greeley, same day that her half-brother Ray won.

Performance:

2011

Merry - has also continued her career, after her Championship last year. In the Rally ring she is a genius. She has picked up four first places in levels of Rally, finishing her Excellent title in Eagle in 2010. She also finished her Companion Dog Obedience title with a 3rd place at Longs Peak Obedience Trail in 2010. Then after having babies, she went back into the agility ring and took it by storm this winter completing her Excellent Standard and Jumpers title. A truly amazing lady. Who deserved to retire in style - she now lives with the Orsini family and is the love of their lives.

Peter - the man, lives up to his nickname. Completing his American Championship against heavy California competition, then on to Rally Obedience, Agility, and Regular Obedience. He makes his mom - Brie proud! He finished all of his Rally titles with ease and numerous First Placements. Then in Jan. 2011 he competed in the CD obedience ring, completing this title with the minimum of 3 shows and with another First Place at Longs Peak Obedience Trials. In Agility he has continued to do well completing his Open titles in both Standard and Jumpers, he is now working to finish this off with his Excellent titles - he already has "legs" towards those.

Jacob - co-owned with Jasmine Marie - our assistant trainer (sire to Veronica see below)- took the Rally Obedience Ring by storm, he never missed a beat completing all Rally titles with the minimum qualifying rounds, numerous ribbons and accolades on his way to his RAE Title, only the second Crystal Glen golden to achieve this award! Way to go Jasmine

Louie - is starting to show his versatility- in January he competed with Jasmine (our assistant trainer)in the Rally ring for the first time - and was brilliant, scoring a First Place and a Third on his way to his Rally Novice title. In July he showed his work ethic by competing in the conformation ring as well as the Rally ring, completed his Rally Advanced title with all first places!- He is moving on to Excellent where he again has another 1st place!

Aria- the baby at the tender age of 12 months, also completed her Rally Novice degree at Longs Peak Obedience trial, again with Jasmine, then in three short tries finished her Rally Advanced title placing in the ribbons several times. She was simply smashing for a baby. So she too is showing her stuff competing in conformation and obedience - excelling at both.

Veronica - not to be left out - she too has started her Rally career with Jasmine, and with some outstanding results she completed her Rally Novice title at Buckhorn Valley K. C. shows in July. She then went out and in three shows with one 4th place finished her Rally Advanced title. In Oct. she will be heading on to her new home with the Ducnuigeen family, where she will enjoy some luxury treatment until she is bred in the Fall 2012.

Denali: co-owned, shown and trained by Becky Shiflea, has also been stellar in the Rally obedience ring - getting her Novice Degree with ease, and then this past week competing at the Advanced level - she picked up her final two qualifying scores both scores with a fourth place. Go Denali! Look for Denali under the Litters page - she will be having babies with our super stud - Louie late in the fall.

Captain - took up residence with Melanie Zgagby's house - and it was love at first sight. Melanie has worked with this boy and did a great job so that Captain earned his Companion Dog Degree. Way to go Melanie!

Charlie - our Assistant Kennel Manager Carolyn's boxer - has also hit the Rally rings with his usually enthusiasm. In Jan. he completed his Rally Novice title, and picked up his fist leg in Advanced. This was both Carolyn and Charlie's first attempt at showing!
